The Vickie Cup is CLSA’s end-of-year championship, and this year we will have buoy races on Saturday and a distance race on Sunday.  

Sailing Instructions

Details for Saturday:

-       All boat types welcome
-       12:00 noon competitors’ meeting
-       1:00 first race start sequence
-       3:30 latest race
-       Different boat classes will compete against each other using the Portsmouth rating system, which provides a handicap factor for each boat type depending on its typical speed under the conditions of the race.  
-       We will aim for two or three consecutive 50-minute races on a windward-leeward course.

Boats will be divided into two starting groups:
1) Flying Scots and other boats with a Portsmouth rating greater than or equal to that of the Flying Scot
2) 5 minutes after the first start, Thistles and other boats with a Portsmouth rating less than that of the Flying Scot
